EnvironMental Coy

Flirting can be an enjoyable form of interaction to build relationships. Non-verbal cues, showing intelligence, and having a gentle approach are seen as some of the most effective flirting behaviors. The Artists of “EnvironMental Coy,” put these practices to use as they ingeniously demonstrate how they’ve built long lasting and meaningful relationships with the environment.

The featured artists, Howard el-Yasin, Jess Levey, Weihui Lu Farah MohammadAndres Senra, Kelley SimonsBen SloatJill Slosburg-Ackerman, DW Zinsser, navigate their self-reflective portraits, which is an exercise of communication, and listening through the lens of personal narratives, socio-political identity, cultural and/or collective identity.
